{"id":45,"date":"2008-03-20T23:06:13","date_gmt":"2008-03-20T23:06:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mikes-photos.co.uk\/words\/?p=45"},"modified":"2008-03-20T23:06:13","modified_gmt":"2008-03-20T23:06:13","slug":"osm-based-cycle-map","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mikes-photos.co.uk\/wordpress\/cycling\/osm-based-cycle-map\/","title":{"rendered":"OSM based cycle map"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been mapping my local area on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.openstreetmap.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OSM<\/a> for a while and been recording tracks whilst out on my bike.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst searching for cycle routes recently I found this great website called gravity storm by a guy called Andy Allan.<\/p>\n<p>Andy has written a map renderer for the OSM map data specifically for cycle routes giving an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gravitystorm.co.uk\/osm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OSM cycle map<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This prompted me to finish mapping the National cycle route 56 from the Chester  to Liverpool.<\/p>\n<p>It should be rerendered in on the map next Wednesday or there abouts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been mapping my local area on OSM for a while and been recording tracks whilst out on my bike.
